Yesterday a very important workers compensation bill passed, SB 1160, in the Assembly Insurance Committee. See below. Small Business California was part of the task force that was trying to lower the cost of utilization review in the workers compensation system. This bill came out of the task force. Lori Kammerer Small Business California testified in support of the bill Thank you Christine Baker again for your work on lowering workers compensation cost and helping to expedite treatment for injured employees. Thank you also Senator Mendoza for introducing the legislation.
The bill is expected to go to the Governor.
