Jobs,Economic Development and the Economy[JEDE] Committee/Workers Compensation

On the 15th of March, the JEDE committee will be holding a hearing and is looking for input. One of the sections on the agenda is Small Business Assistance including the Office of the Small Business Advocate and Small Business Finance Center.
This is under the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development [Go-Biz]
Do you know about Go-Biz? Is it effective?
Do you know about the Small Business Advocate? Do you know who it is? How effective is the Advocate and have you ever contacted his office?
Have you used any state finance plans? Which ones?
How can the state be more effective with their programs?
I would really appreciate your responses.

I was talking to a workers' compensation insurance carrier and got some really interesting information. They indicated that half of their workers' compensation claims from  people that have been on their job for less than 2 years. This is just one company but I think this probably  true for most companies. What has been your experience for your company?
